The main differences that stands out between the two leaders from the point they rose to their positions in leadership.

Sheikh Hassan Aweys = vows to get Somalia under peace and order with Sharia law and unite SomaliÂ’s under Islam.

Abdullahi Yusuf = Vows to attack Mogadishu and Promised genocide on Hawiye in the sense of throwing them all into the Indian ocean or the sea as he said.

Both have been involved in acts of war and can be hold responsible for the killing of hundreds if not thousands.

Tigres cannot defeat Hawiye unless we play into their game.


First, the thorny political issue must be solved,


There are political questions that the ICU must solve while the bombs are falling. For, example The ICU must promise to the people of Hawiye and Somalis that it has a genuine intention of holding elections when the Tigre are driven out. That these patriotic regions will elect their representatives to a democratically held national assembly.




The military issue,



The Tigre man is not as brave as Hawiye. Geography should also be used wisely. The enemy is walking hundreds of miles of Hawiye territory. A gorrila forces should be spread out, getting involved in local Hawiye.



Large formation of student troops is not good strategy. The kids should be trained and be prepared for a long protracted gorrilla war. The Tigres and their puppets are counting on a set peice battle that brings the conflict into conclusion. That should be avioded


The Jihad thing should be scrapped all together.
