Tigre bombings!

Post by Somaliweyn »

Tigre bombing of Somalia in our weakest period shall never be forgotten.

This naked agression and shameless bombing of defenseless Somali terittories will be engraved in our memories Exclamation

This will be the roots of all problems coming in the comming decades,

Ethiopian highlanders have succeeded in dominating the old SOmali man, the pastoral one...

The new Somaliman is both modern and progressive and will never be dominated by the same Highlanders that have dominated the old Somaliman Exclamation

Tigre's have brought disaster upon the coming generations of Ethiopian highlanders.....all future conflicts are solely their responsibility Exclamation[u[/u]

What government are you talking about?

Thats what I mean with the old Somaliman and his mentality!

There's no Somali government, only a Tigre-puppet government in Somalia.

The fact that there are Tigre's fighting in Somalia says much about the socalled government!

At least those radicals you are talking about are capable of fighting their own war Laughing

History will condemn Tigre-puppets harshly....this too will be engraved in our memory!

Gurey,

Somalia is just witnessing a turbulent period, a natural development that almost all countries have witnessed in their history.

It is also natural that religious groups compete for political power in the mids of political anarchy, and sometimes even succeed in gaining some significant power over other warlords, just for the fact that they legitimize their warlordship by religion.

As I was reading Japanese history recently I saw interesting events in Japanese history that were in parallel with other countries. During the Sengoku period (15th century) there was no central authority and there were warlords with their own domains competing for everything that was valuable and associated with power. It was a turbulent period in Japanese history that is important for Japanese. To make a long story short, at the end there is this guy named Oda Nobunaga who is in the process of uniting all domains under his authority, but faces stiff resistance from a Buddist movement which also wants to unite the country under its religious ideology. At the end though Oda succeeds in his mission and destoys all radical Buddist elements in Japan in order to continue with his national unification process. Unfortunately he doesn't live long enough to see the fruits of his long struggle, his like-minded allies continue with his mission and they re-establish central authority and re-stabilize the country once again which lay the groundwork for the next crucial step in Japanese history. It takes another 2 centuries before there is another turbelent period, but short in comparison with the first, which triggers the modernization of Japan, the Meji Period (19th century). The fruits of this modern Meiji movement become clear within 2 generations as Japan crushes China, Russia and colonizes South Korea.

This modern Meiji movement achieved what Japanese people never darred to dream about: Defeating the ''middle kingdom on earth' ' (China) and have achieved the first victory in a war over a Western/European country during the heydays of Western/European hegemony of the world!

This is just one example of many to show how other countries witnessed the same turbelent period as we are witnessing today. Ofcourse Japan is an extraordinary case, a succes-story Laughing

Somalia is witnessing this in a peculiar environment, the time is different and the place. As globalization has enabled rapid movement of humans, information, resources etc which is unprecedented in human history it is logical to expect much of the new Somali man. If these modern, educated, progressive new breed of Somali man succeed in organizing themselves there is nothing that can stop them from achieving the aspirations and expectations which the old Somaliman failed to live up to.

We can walk the long march or take shortcuts, all the preruiqisites to take shortcuts are available anno 2007

That makes me optimistic about the new Somaliman.

Salaan walaal

You are taking the long term view, which is good.
Who knows what the future holds.
.

even thought sengoku period Japan was around 20 million and split into dozens of warring factions.
I wonder where our Nobunaga would come from?
will there be a somali Oda?

“At least those radicals you are talking about are capable of fighting their own war.”

By forcefully forcing School children to fight for them, right?

Let me let you in on a little secret kiddo, if most Somalis are actively opposed to Ethiopian intervention then it won't succeed. The TFG will collapse and the ICU will be strengthened.

This seems to be the calculation of the so-call Sheikh Aweys. But he has badly misjudged the desires of the Somali people before. In the 1990s, he and Co. led al-Ittihad from Doble (near Kenya) to Bosasso, to Las Qorey (northeastern Somalia) and then to Luuq (southwest Somalia), attempting to establish an Islamic ministate. He was rebuffed each time by the local inhabitants (although in Luuq he temporarily succeeded before being dislodged by the Ethiopian army cooperating with the local clan militia).

...14 years later, he and Co. figure a way to shake Somalia yet again, will they be dislodged again? No doubt! But this time it will be for good since Somalia has a legitimate government that will priorities to hunt down every last one of these illiterate radical elements.

lol@ “What government are you talking about?”

I see you got jokes like Indha-cadde, you sure he did rop you of your brain.

The lesson for the barbaric Tigre Air strikes:

The need for educated, rational, intelligent, non-opportunist young Hawiye to unreservedly adopt our Party's line.

Our party unequivocally rejected

1. The position of Hawiye warlords

2. The radical positions of Hawiye Wahabism.

3. The traitor pupet Somali government

What our party is inviting to Young Hawiye's:

The party has been championing the development of a peaceful and cooperative of Hawiye institutions. The party unequivocally rejected both the extreme position of warlord anarchy and the extreme position of radical hijackers.

http://www.somalinet.com/forum/viewtopi ... highlight=

THIS IS THE ONLY ROAD TO VICTORY

Hawiye people should adopt the position of URURKA DIFAACA iyo HORUMARINTA QARANKA SOOMAALIYEED. Our position is the most moral, objective and politically desired position in all Hawiye groups and parties.

There is nothing that Hawiye people cherish more than the unity, security and self-determination of Hawiye people. Equally there has never been a more illusive goal in Hawiye achievements than the attainment of these goals. We believe then that Hawiye can only attain these goals if the advance layers of Hawiye people spell out and articulate: first, the means of achieving these objectives, second collectively and tenaciously pursue the implementation of defined goals.

Our party, as one of the advance layers of Hawiye people, has long sought to define and explore the intermediate steps that would lead the unity and security and self rule of Hawiye people. In this enterprise our young party has achieved a commendable success. Today, however, when Mogadishu is engulfed with battles it is difficult to imagine the success of any Hawiye leadership.

Hawiye people particularly Hawiye media must completely adopt the party analysis:

1. Hawiye situation stands at it was in January 1991 when Barre was overthrown and numerous Hawiye subclans entered the city. Thus, Mogadishu is divided into quarters and sections of Hawiye subclans. Each Hawiye subclan has a claim and rightly controls certain zones. Any attempt to dislodge one Hawiye subclan from its quarter regardless of the declared reasons would lead to wars that would make Hawiye unity and security untenable. THIS IS REALITY THAT IS BEYOND DENIAL.

2. In each Hawiye sector and quarter or subclan there is a tremendous appetite for a normal, progressive, and peaceful life. Positively each group wants its own people to succeed: in schools, in businesses, in influence and in general morality. Each group also wants to avoid the unfortunate effects of anarchy: physical aggression against one of their own, property damage against one of their own, political humiliation against one of their own. HAWIYE SUBCLANS ARE EXPECTING REFORMISTS WHO WOULD REALIZE THEIR DREAMS. THEY WANT THE REFORMIST TO BE ONE OF THEIRS.

3. Mogadishu has flourished despite the anarchy. There are tens of thousand of Hawiye entrepreneurs. There are hundred of thousands of Hawiye businesses. There are hundred of private educational institutions. There are hundreds of associations and civil organizations that are serving tens of thousands of Hawiyes. Like most of Hawiye people in Somalia, this progressive and civil society would wish peace, security and self-determination for Hawiye people.

4. Outer elements. Some of these are pure criminal elements in Hawiye cities: common criminals and thugs, betty check-point owners, betty business crook. Others are the political criminals, THE NEW HAWIYE POLITICAL CLASS: check-point kings, big time crook businessmen, counterfeiters, old Faqash Hawiyes, foreign subsidized groups. Lastly there are half-baked ideologues: religious groups who want to disregard all the above complexities. In the basic interest of Hawiyes. All these elements operates outside the boundaries of ordinary Hawiyes, but regrettably the very groups barricade themselves in the same subclan quarters. IN THE VARIOUS SECTIONS AND QUARTERS OF MOGADISHU ONE CANNOT SEPARATE THE PHYSICAL LOCATION OF THE SUBCLANS AND THAT OF THE OUTER ELEMENTS.

5. National challenges. The Democratic Revolution of 1991 is expected to be completed. Hawiye threats are expected to be eliminated in its early stages. Advance layers of Hawiye people with all their difficulties must be expected to create modern Hawiye institutions which will unite, secure the peace, provide justice , expand Hawiye interests both in Somalia and the world. THIS MEANS THAT THE ADVANCE LAYERS OF HAWIYES CANNOT HAVE BOTH WAYS. THEY ARE EITHER LOYAL TO THE STATUS QUO OR THEY WANT TO CHANGE HAWIYE. THAT MEANS NO REACTION TO THE GRIEVENCES CREATED BY THE OUTER HAWIYE ELEMENTS. IF THERE ARE GRIEVANCES THEN IT WOULD BE THE PRIMARY GRIENVANCES THAT DROVE HAWIYE PEOPLE INTO REVOLUTION.

Given this, our party has developed a very simple but powerful and illuminating political line:

The objective of good hawiye is to work hard in achieving peace, security and self-rule in Hawiye lands. Due to the natural Hawiye political development we have inherited a diverse and defused hawiye political power that is reflected in the respective sections and quarters of Mogadishu. It is our interest to accept these boundaries, to respect each others legitimate political and economic demands. It is the peaceful coordination of the political, economic and security interests of Hawiye subclans that we attain HAWIYE TRUST. There exist among us an outer elements who have created an internal grievances for Hawiye people who have deflected the real grievances from Hawiye people. We are obligated to wage a moral and political struggle against these outer elements. This outer elements can only be squeezed from within. This means that good Hawiyes would fight through their media and would start the struggle for united Hawiye from within.

It is our party's objective to wage a determined struggle against outer elements to protect and coordinate the legitimate interest of Hawiye people.

If you are Hawiye Media we are encouraging you to adopt our political lines. Then you would be doing a great service to hawiye people.

NC

somaliweyn you are missing some points. since you are talking about japense history i think you ever heard of the name tagaki Taisuke a powerful Tosa leader who had resigned from the Council of State over the Korean affair in 1873. Itagaki sought peaceful rather than rebellious means to gain a voice in government.the courts and the tfg needs to understand this.

Possesion is ownership rights rite? if that was the case we would have 100 hundreds of thousand of hawiye going back to central somalia and 100 of thousands of daroods coming nito claiming there houses ands the same case for isaaqs and other clans.
