Ras Kamboni: The Last Ajuran Town In Somalia?

I've just learned that Ras Kamboni is an Ajuran city in Somalia and most likely the last city they settled before their empire was destroyed approximately 8 hundred years ago.

Is there any truth to this?

Yes, it was the southern city of the Ajuuranate Empire. The Empire stretched to the Tana River south of Garissa in its high times to Berbera in the North to Qalaafo in the West which was the seat of the Emperor.

The Ajuuranate prophecy came true: "Once we are gone, you will have foreign colonization."

The Ajuuranate Empire kept the Arabs out of Somalia and all other foreigners in their high times.

Wasn't Qoryooley an Ajuran city at one point also? I've always wondered why their empire just fell apart like that? Also, Abgaal claim that they chased Ajuran out of Mogadishu, any truth to this?

The Empire was huge. There were several major Ajurran settlements, Qalafo, Hobyo, Xamar, Celbuur.

The Ajuuran after the collapse were dispersed all over Somalia.

The Abgaal were a part of the Hiirab confendracy which deposed the Ajuuran.

Was there ever such thing as Ajuran Empire? I really doubt it. Did the leaders of this empire live aqal somalis? How come there ain't any remains of their settlements.....like ruined castles and shit. It is no different from sheekoyinka the dabayaco tell about their clan cheifs being kings and all.
