Mogadishu 17, Jan.07 ( Sh.M.Network) - The Somali parliament, which has had their session in Baidoa on Wednesday, voted for the removal of the assembly speaker Sharif Hassan Sheik Aden.

183 MPs voted yes to oust the speaker while nine voted against his removal.

After the votes have been counted, the second speaker of the parliament, Osman Elmi Boqore read the results to the parliamentarians.

He said, “Nine MPs have refused to oust parliament speaker Sharif Hassan and 183 MPs voted for the removal of the speaker, therefore, the motion is authentic that way”, he said.

The news comes as the speaker is in Rome Italy to discuss his disagreements with the governmentÂ’s top leaders over the presence of Ethiopian troops in Somalia.
