Sool Sanaag and Cayn Myth
Assalaamu Alaikum,
Many in here love to talk about something called Sool Sanaag and Cayn. Whenever, the Republic of Somaliland is mentioned, they will cry what about Sool Sanaag and Cayn. Well, what about Sool Sanaag and Cayn? For starters, Cayn is not the historical Caynabo, which is a district in Sool, it is present day Buuhoodle. Confused? No confussion, they have renamed Cayn region what is the district of Buuhoodle. So you ask yourself, why would they refer Cayn region to the district of Buuhoodle and not Caynaba? I do not have the answer, but I concur it is a question to ponder.
Now lets assume there is a region called Cayn. As it stands, its capital is Buuhoodle. This district controls 13 villages, 11 of them are not disputed to be in Somaliland's direct governance. Nevertheless, the nay sayers will cry, we have Buuhoodle, but what they don't understand is Buuhoodle itself is part of Somaliland. Afcourse there are elements who do not want Somaliland, but the great majority does. You don't have to take my word for it. It is clear, as the leader of the Puntland administration could not come and visit Buuhoodle. You still want proof? Sure, you can view the Somaliland flag below in Buuhoodle.

Mind you, this is not from a pro Somaliland website.
Now, we come to Sool and Sanaag issue. Now, if we look at Sool first, Sool is comprised of 4 districts: Caynabo, Lascanood, Taleex and Xudun. Caynabo is not disputed and it is under Somaliland's governance. Taleex has no governance. Lascanood is disputed, as Somaliland's soldiers are in Western Lascanood district, namely Yagoori, Samakaab, Adhi Cadeeye, Abeesalay, 15 KM from Lascanood city itself. And, as far as Xudun is concerned, the majority of the villages it controls is in Somaliland's hands. Xudun itself the region capital is disputed, which has caused the recent flare up. Now, if you raise the question what about Sool? The question is which part of Sool; eastern Sool or western Sool? Now, considering the above, how can any one talk about Sool not being in Somaliland?
Now as far as Sanaag is concerned, usually the question comes from what about Eastern Sanaag. Well eastern Sanaag is comprised of 3 districts, Lasqoray, Dhahar, and Badhan. The only region between those 3 which isn't in Somaliland's hands is Badhan. So, now the question is? What Eastern Sanaag are you talking about? Or do you mean just Badhan?
Maybe I should post the Somaliland flag flying high in Lasqoray? You guys can dig up the thread in Somalinet, which did just that.
I must say, the detractors of Somaliland need to come up with another argument, that isn't bent on a pack of lies. Somaliland is transcends tribal loyalties. It is a shining beacon in Africa, warts and all.
Now instead of praying for all Somalis, regardless of their political persuasion a prosperous life and a rewarding hereafter, we have envious megalomaniacs who are under the thumb of Ethiopian troops spewing their hateful mantra.
Inshallah, Somalis every where will reach their true potential?
Wassalaam Wabilaahi Towfiiq.

This guy is a retard. Some confused minister took that flag to Laasqoray like three years ago and was chased back to Soomaaliland.
You idiot, do you know how close Laasqoray is to Boosaaso? Badhan is closer to you guys than LQ and here you are claiming you have full control of that city.
There were demonstrations and Somaliland flag burnings in most of eastern Sanaag a few days ago
You dont even have control of Buhoodle in TOGDHEER dude
You're delusional.
