What do you guys think TFG will contribute to Somalis. Do you guys really see the as part of the solution and not part of the problem. Question

Do you think they will do anything??? like start rebuilding the country, returing the properties ect.

And please don't say you support them because they got ridd of ICU.

I think there are two choices. TFG or Warlordism. The TFG appears to be the lessar of the two evils.

high class let me start before the darod tigre's come and hijack ur topic. i'm 20% tfg supporter and 80% anti icu.

now the tfg have no chance to mess this up, and they have to work harder to get the respect of the people. they will improve things, and it is good for all of us somalis, we can go back and establish democracy and opposition parties and change the system without war, bloodshed and anarchy. we can influence and build somalia and somalis in harmony together. the only winners are the somali people. end of warlordism.

Im for democracy, But I doubt that TFG will allow any election after there time is over, Because if they do ICU or a similar group will most likely win the election.

1 big problem is that the Warlords are part of the TFG, who can trust them?

This is not a Majerteen government this a 4.5 government. The majerteen might claim it because of Abdullahi Yusuf. But the truth is Ethiopia play a bigger role in the government then the Majerteens. This is the government of the Ethiopian Loyalists

Wouldn't that be a smart strategy for the ICU at this point? Lay down their arms and pursue an electoral strategy, if, as you say, they would win an election?

Maybe but few important point that u have to know

That would contradict that they stand for and what they would stand for if they were a Political party point they would hand over there guns to Ethiopian troops cause they are the main collectors. Whats important to remember is that people not trust TFG allowing elections in the future, the will claim that they were a temporary reconciliation government and therefore they most serve another 4-5 years to function properly.

In addition to that when Abdullahi Yusuf lost the Puntland Presidential election, He refused to give up his position and his tribe told him to leave the city. That did he do? He brought Ethiopian troops on them. Laughing His past say it all, This guy mad and would never allow anything against his will.

And there might be loads of other reason....

Yusuf isn't going to live forever. Point one.

Point two. I am suspect that any Islamist is willing to respect the basic concept of democracy. Islamists, esspecially militant ones, are so filled with self-righteousnous that they simply do not respect other viewpoints. Therefore, when losing an election they resort to violence. Now, for sure, Islamists aren't the only ones who think that way. So don't get me wrong. But I definately believe that Aweys believes it's his way or the highway.

Muslims respect democracy, The Caliphate proves that, There can be no Caliphate without the support of the Public. The problem is that the west and non muslim countries dont want Muslims to run there own country with there religion. They want us all to be there puppets and they want our leaders to be the least religiuos and the most corrupt ones.

ICU didn't come to power because they were militant minded, They didnt establish peace without the Public support, they didnt do anything without the public support. They even recognized TFG which is not a elected government but a appointed one.

"The problem is that the west and non muslim countries dont want Muslims to run there own country with there religion."

Why do you think this is???

We don't have a problem with countries like South Korea or Japan running their own affairs. We even tolerate the incredibly annoying Chavez. Why is there a problem with Islamist governments?
