The Legacy Of The TFG:Violence, Mayhem & Lawlessness?

Post by muslim-man »

Ever since the ousting of the UIC, Somalia has once again become plunged in to clan wars. A few days after the TFG was brought to the Capital by the Ethiopians, inter-clan violence broke out in Sh. Dhexe between abgaal sub-clans. A few weeks after that, other clan violence broke out in Galgaduud, Jubba & Bay regions.

There is constant bombings & shootings in Mogadishu on a daily basis. There is widespread isbaarooyin in Central & Southern Somalia. After 6 months of peace & normalcy under the UIC, the country is essentialy back at square 1: the days when the warlords oppressed the people, instability, injustice and lawlessness.

Is this the TFG's plan for governance? They can't even neautralize one district in Mogadishu with all of their mooryaan and the Ethiopians. Why are they so incompetent?

While I too remain concerned (as oppossed to you, who seems gleeful) that the TFG has almost no chance of success, need I remind you that if the TFG collapses, Somalia will return to the 1992 period of multiple factions violently competing.

Mac,

Somalia's is already back at square 1, I don't know how worse it can get once the TFG falls-apart.

Need I remind you that when the US/UN left Somalia there wasn´t mass starvation and killings as ´predicted´

The Collapse of the Tigre Fictional Government (TFG) will be the best thing that has ever happened to Somalis, save for the collapse of Siad´s regime.

I hope that you are aware that lawlessness and mayhem have the same meaning.

Oh it can get a LOT worse. I was there in 92. Trust me, things can get REALLY ugly. The Somali capacity for violence against his fellow Somali is boundless.
