Somali Parents
Why are they so strict? Whenever you ask them to go out with your friends they say no they're eyalasook.
Re: Somali Parents

Re: Somali Parents
And they don't have to respect you? Thats a terrible logic.
Re: Somali Parents
I know that you think your parents are blocking your fun, but trust me everything that your parents are telling you or are doing will make perfect sense to you someday. Your parents are just being parents, let them do their job. If your parents think those friends of yours are ciyal suuq, than probably they are, remember parents are never wrong.
I remember as a kid, my patents were really strict too, I wasn't allowed to spend the night over at anyone's house ,except family and walibo only certain family members at that, and among other things. My mother's favorite saying was "Someday you will understand". I thought she was being paranoid and mean at the time. Now since I have grown that phrase makes sense, the light bulb finally turned on and I understand what she meant.

time to study, time to work and time to play. my parents sat down with me during homework, my dad played basketball with us and organised games for us. i worked in the family business since i was 7 years old. your parents want to know your whereabouts 24/7.

Re: Somali Parents
Run away from home and live the free life! That'll teach them. But dont move in with Somalis because they will tell your mother your whereabouts....do you have any non Somali friends you could move in with.....Im telling you, once you do that....life will seem like one big nightclub...open bar and everything!
