The phrase in my opinion is redundant on this forum, although this is just my ,your opinion may differ.

After all unless you say otherwise who else's opinion would it be other than your own opinion? You may have a different opinion to me on this, if you do feel free to express it after all it will only be your opinion so I will not be offended.

Hopefully my opinion on this hasn't upset anyone, if it has then I can't really apologise as it's just one opinion, granted it's my opinion but why should I feel guilty about having an opinion on the use of the phrase in my opinion?

I'd be interested in other people's opinion on this, bear in mind in the spirit of this topic I would appreciate it if you could refrain from actually telling me it's your opinion when you do give your opinion, of course if your giving someone else's opinion then it should be clearly stated that it is the opinion of someone else and not yours.
