The pungent irony of it all: TFG supporters faulting the ICU for embarrassing somalis & for being cowards.

^^^

it is all indhocadde's fault, he called for jihad, gave a week notice to the ethiopians, promised to pray in adis ababa @ eid, and ran to saudi arabia while the brainwashed got killed like flies. a jihad declared by indhocadde, that is a crime against islam, he should be hung. who are the iuc letting indhocadde to become the guy who calls the shot? a group of ayr gangsters. the tfg is wacked 2, but that is another story.

Ethiopia was going to attack the ICU no matter what. Full 6 months prior to their invasion, ethilopians were moving heavy military equipement to Somali border (perhaps inside somalia) through Ogaden regions.

that is bullshidh. Ethiopia's invasion was greenlighted and underwritten by America. And America had no beef with the UIC. All they had to do was sideline the criminals like Turki and daahir awees and negotiate with the TFG.

After 2 years the UIC would have been in power, they were that popular.

But after their initial success they went off the rails and exposed themselves to be a tribal movement hiding in the clerical robes. Somalis said no to the minor subjugated tribe of Cayr trying to make a name for themselves. They made too many enemies. They overextended themselves. And soon they were in trouble.

They alienated Mareexaan

They alienated and threatened Somaliland

They menaced Puntland

The Sacad were treated with derision and had their arsenal and wealth expropriated.

Then they alienated America by appointing Terrorist most wanted list figure Daahir Aweys as their leader.

Then they threatened Ethiopia

And then they didnt stand and fight, they ran.

A substandard spin on events.

Ethiopia DID move heavy military equipment very early in it's confrontation with the now defunct ICU. As I said as early as may/june, perhaps even earlier, of last year Ethiopian military activity was spotted in Kilika 5 towards Somalia. There were even reports of large Ethipians miliary camps inside Somalia. Given how events unfolded, Ethiopia must have had either heavy concenration of troops and armour along Somalia's border or inside it. Else, how did move so much armour and mechanised forces in such short time?

Politically ethipia had to act against the ICU who were seen as more popular, more successful than the hapless TFG. Keep in mind Ethiopia heavly invested in the TFG, counting on it to return the favor in kind once somalia was subdued. Supporting the TFG simply entailed protecting their investment. The ICU were unknowns, their positions still forming hence not as dependable. Backing the TFG was a tall order on its own, backing the ICU was the more costly garmble. Basically everything was against Ethiopia tolerating ICU, a move against them was a must.

ICU made plenty of mistakes. Some of own doing, others fault of circumstance. It may sound strange but they were too successful, too good for their doing. Simply put, they didn't take their time to consolidate their gains, strategise their next move, put at ease the worries of concerned groups. In their mindless rush to gain more land and power they made too many enemies. But Ethiopia wasn't one of them.

Ethiopia can move all the armour they want to the border. But their invasion of Somalia was legitimated by the bellocisity of the ICU. And America would not have given the Ethiopia the green light to invade if the ICU were not dumb enough to elect a known Terrorist on international watch lists as their leader. If they elected Sheekh Shariif who was more respected than the extremist Wahaabi Aweys, then America would not have ordered this invasion. And let us be clear, this invasion was effected at the behest of America.

With the lurch of ICU towards exteremism and wild Wahaabism, their fate was uncertain. But what made confrontation with Ethiopia inevitable was their massing of troops outside Baydhabo, the seat of the Somali Transitional government. Why did they have to do that?

Why did they make pronouncements like:

We will unify all Somalis under the Shariica meaning they made enemies of Somalland and Ethiopia. Somaliland wants out of Somalia, and Ethiopia has a Somali province. Did the ICU have the resources and power to carry out these lofty objectives?

No

And when push came to shove, they ran away.

As I said already ICU's policies were still crystallizing. In the same breath they promulgated those threatening press releases they also issued more diplomatic ones. I remember the ICU one time stating their readiness to cooperate with the TFG and talk to Addis. In reality, there were meetings between Ethiopian agents (TFG) and the ICU.

The ICU had a moral right to attack the TFG ever since it became clear the TFG was nothing more than an advanced reconnaissance unit for the Ethiopians. Ethiopia was going to attack no matter what which accounted for the fatalistic disposition of ICU, in particular during the latter half of it's rule. This became apparent in those meetings between the TFG and ICU.

You are a confusing and confused little lady. How were the international community and TFD supposed to interpret the schizoid extrusions of the Wahaabi crazies of the ICU?

Not only that you claim that ICU had a moral duty to attack the ICU when it became clear they were agent of the Ethiopians? How did they divine this?

Were they practitioner of Cilmil Asraar or did they have divine revelation that convinced them that they were doomed and that they might as well make a quixoitic attack on Ethiopia using 15 year olds and then run for the jungles.

You dont make sense little lady

F'uck Eritreans. How can anyone who characterizes the WHOLE Somali community as drug addicted and unpatriotic be taken seriously ? And besides, where were these alleged Eritrean warriors that were supposed to be fighting alongside the ICU in repelling the xabaash invasion?
