The 2008 Election in Somaliland will be a make or break deal and I think Mr. Riyoole will play a big part in this. So will he run? It seems so, but will he play it fair? Time will tell, but I doubt he will play it fair since he has already dismissed the Election Committee. The word out there as of now though, is a good number of Somaliland parliament members want Mr. Riyoole out of office and are on the process of taking a motion to boot him out of office through the parliament, why? Maybe it has something to do with his latest decision of dismissing the Election Committee or maybe not, but whatever it is there is a big up roar in that part of the world leading up to the 2008 election. Am certain Mr. Riyoole will not go down without a fight if this movement within the parliament picks up momentum, but I doubt it will ever prove to be a threat to his presidency, the man is too powerful. So how does a man this powerful lose an election? I don’t know, but either way people will not be happy.
Anyhow, Mr. Yusuf couldn’t have asked for a better time to be in power. Am sure he is counting on Mr. Riyoole to not sit this 2008 Election out peacefully.

Somaliland politics is too comlpicated for a Wanlaweyn like you, stay out of it, eat your Cambuulo and fart away
President Riyale is back in Hargeisa and signaled willingness to sit down with all concerned parties to reach an agreement with the supervision of the Guurti(Somaliland's upper house, house of elders) this conflict will be resolved like the ones before it.

XidigtaJSL, trust me there is nothing complicated about Qaldhan politics, you see your ilk than (under Mr. Egal) might have been willing to give the Vice-presidency office to reer-Awdel just to make it look fair thinking your bunch would out maneuver them if they tried anything funny, but that plan was f*ct the minute Mr. Egal made the hard journey to the life “here after.†The Ex-Faqash who under Mr. Egal was a sheep among wolfs, sure, took on the shape of lion ever since the man’s death. Somaliland, sxb, at the moment is out of the hands of reer-Qaldhan, will see if they could do the impossible in 2008 and take it back from reer-Awdel.
