Somalia president greeted with artillery attack, six civilia

(SomaliNet) Around seven artillery rounds have been fired into the presidential palace in the Somalia capital Mogadishu on Tuesday hours after Somalia president Abdulahi Yusuf Ahmed secretly returned the city causing human casualty – the latest attack seemed to be the insugents' way of welcoming President Yusuf.
Unknown militiamen have launched daylight attack targeting the president’s house but most of the shells hit civilian houses in Sheik Sufi village near the palace leaving the death of three people and wounding another one.
“Two of the fired rockets hit a house killing three children and a woman of same family and also caused the injury of another person,†Nimo Ahmed, a female journalist told Somalinet.
Witnesses said that a number of rockets had slammed inside the palace but there is no immediate casualty on the government side.
The sounds of artillery fires rocked the capital around 4:00 pm local time.
The interim government forces immediately responded the attack firing two artillery shells killing two persons and wounding seven others in Wardhigley neighborhood where they thought the attack came from.
Most vicitms of Mogadishu's relentless attacks are civilians.
