Rafting down the Colorado River summer '08.

A skywalk sounds like a silly waste of money. So you ooh and aah for 10 minutes, big deal. I would rather spend a week or two hiking and camping in the wilderness.

Rafting, hiking all that is so physical... I would rather be chilling in some hot beach with "clear blue" waters for a change sipping cold iced tea. Fiji here I come... one day. Although I heard there was a minor coup d'tat was going on there...hope it's over by the time am ready for it.

I believe the Cali besteen will mainly benefit from this addition to the canyon since it's on their land. They hope it increases tourist attraction.

Demure, chilling on the beach for more than a couple of days bores me. I like challenges, even when on holiday. If I was going to the tropics I'd go scuba diving (well, learn to first), or hire a sailboat or something.

Scuba diving is fun, I once went with a friend of mine who was studying Marine Biology to scuba diving session in some training facility. My ears hurt for days afterward although I didn't dive that deep and the dire warnings of potential decompression if you ascend too fast or a faulty device all that kind scared me of pursuing that further.

Now I think surfing would be more fun and more challenging.

Ad,

One of my sister's in law has a condo just above that point. I love to watch the seals and listen to the waves.

Vacationers with only a day or two to spend should also consider Bryces Canyon in Southern Utah. It takes less time than the Grand Canyon and is at least as spectacular, but on a smaller scale.
