The UIC started getting its foreign allies (Arab States & Eritrea) and supporters (Islamists from different nations) into the fight against its enemies esp. the Isbaheysiga.

The TFG brought in its Ethio goons too.

So all in all, this has stopped becoming a Somali affair.

After Gheedi issued a statement telling the people of Southern Mogadishu to flee...
The Hawiye elders are saying.. No one should flee their Home because now the hawiye leaders takes responsibility for their protection and safety.. and TFG orders to should fall on deaf ears. since its a NO body this time around...unlike when they arrived...

The Ethiopians agreed to leave but only if hawiye are willing to accept Ugandans to full their position an carry out the peace mission..

Today and tomorrow Hawiye leaders will sit down with Ugandans and continue their talks..

So we are still waiting..

Muslim-man,

I urged on the defeat of the UIC not praise the Ethios. You have to see the difference there. The UIC were very aggresive, arrogant and on the war path. They refused compromise and sought a conquest.

The key moment that I gave up on any possible accomodation with the UIC was when they invaded my homeland in Central Somalia.

The UIC did have foreign fighters in its wing. In the Battle against the Sacad, there were Oromo fighters in the fighting against an all Somali opponents. The various new reports of foreign fighters fleeing Somalia after the collapse of the UIC illustrates that there were foreign fighters fighting under the UIC banner.
