They did not cook or roast or even burn the kid. Jesus Christ. Look at their arms and you can see they are swinging him over the fire. It was a joke. A Stupid joke. But a joke. The kid was not terrorized, he knew they weren't going to burn him. The whole thing was investigated already.

You have only seen the picture, but I already read the story. The soldiers were drunk and they called a young boy walking past their camp. The kid, a poor guy, ran toward them thinking he would be given something. then what you see happened. they held him over the fire for one minute, and then they let him go after his back was roasted.

You guys think one minute over an open fire is nothing. I could cook a whole pizza for one minutes, by the way. Damn.

The story I read (and it was way back in 96-7) was that the kid worked at the camp, and they were wrestling around, and starting swinging the kid over the fire, and that he was not injured.

No way. I would never have put the picture here if it was a game. The soldiers who commited this crime were removed from their ranks and charged for their crime against humanity. he was only 13 years old and he could not work for them

Now this incident was outrageous.

In June, two former paratroopers were tried by a military court on charges of assault and battery with menaces, committed on an unidentified Somali boy. Evidence at the trial included a photograph showing the boy being swung over an open fire by the accused. The paratroopers were acquitted, apparently on the grounds that there was no conclusive evidence that the boy had suffered actual bodily harm or had felt that his life was in danger. The military prosecutor appealed against the verdict, but the acquittal was confirmed in December.

The boy’s name is Abshir and yes he was barbequed by some Canadian so-called peacekeepers. They were persecuted in Canadian military court. NO THE PUNISHMENT GIVEN TO THEM DIDN’T FIT THE CRIME. I don’t think they received any jail time.

the canadian incident was a seperate one, and that kid was killed. every country who were part of the so-called Unisom did something wrong to poor somalis. I even witnessed a Nigerians raping small girls. there was also a somali translator who was selling women to Unisom troops like Nigerians, UAE and Egyptians. all in all, no one left clean.

While americans were killing somalis, other troops from poor countries were abusing and raping women and kids.
