Nice clip! The teacher looks like a khat addict, but he is giving good lesson. It seems the students are getting a mixed message though, with the way they are conservatively dressed (the girls) and the lesson about traditional dances. Arab Culture versus Somali culture. Go Somali culture go!

There is an actuall dance lessons being taught by the pros from miyi in the clip. Fast forward to see what am talking bout.

Yo it ain't nothing, i just like to look things from a positive angle unlike you lamagoodley who are on a campaign to annihilate all things good of the culture.

Besides, reer xamars are the least threat to somali unity. You all need to learn something from us. Cool

E, the first isaaq came to xamar in 1960 right before the birth of the nation.., daaroods came with colonials in the 1930s or 40s. The only maryoley we were accustomed to were abghaal.are you sayin abghaals taught us about islam?

I need some proof. xatta soomali article to support your claim.

abgals came from north to south...somalis in the south have been muslims since the 9th century..do the math...u pagan persians came when??? Islam didn't even reach ur ppl....

What you failt to understand is, Islam only reached pockets of somalia, around zaila during the early years of Islam. However somalis largely coverted to Islamic religion during the 12th or 13th century. Do you see where the author clearly states, somalis didn't reach mogadishu well till mid 1700s.
