What do you think the future of Somalia would be?

When I say Somalia, I mean the Somalia of pre-civil war? Will we ever unite, bridge the gaps of clannish animosity. I am reminded by one of our folktale stories that brothers who love one another are invincible and prosperous. For instance, there existed a nomad man. He had seven big sons but each one of them went on his seperate way. Their collaboration and communication with one another got severed to the point that their neighbours and nomad friends suspected of their blood relationship. One day, their father, a man blessed with vision and wisdom, summoned them. He had a bundle of winter twigs tied together with a rope. The old man asked his sons to untie the bundle and break each winter twig with both hands. They easily accomplished the task. But he asked again that they try with all their might to break the bundle. They could not. He told them brothers who are united is like that and they become invincible and prosperous.

I do agree with you and Somalis from east to west were beckoned by the ICU as the greatest light to have ever come since the civil war. They indeed revived our unity and natinolism although they lacked sophistication and time to mature and crystalize their mission. Even many people from as far as Hargeesa and Bosaaso made financial contribution and solemn promise to fight and die for them.
I think It would be difficult to experience another come back from a group that is devoted to Islam, as a way of life.

it was the biggest change in the somali history...they showed us that we can unite and get stronger,if we use the Sharialaw.It was power demonstration and clear message to the world and the enemy of somalia that we are here and alive.Insha Allah they will be back soon ,stronger than before...

Hence, their come back should in the future focus on their shortcomings. I am positive that they will, but yuo have to know that the enemy of Somalia both the West and Ethiopia are now prepared to support warlords with all they can. That is going to make big difference. Neverhtless, they will be defeated.

Our people are now powerless . It all depends if another super power emerges from the scene and then challenges United States. Ethiopia knows best that it is doomed once America is challenged by another super power. May China be the next Soveit?
