You have to remember that Malcolm was mislead to a degree(by the nation of islam the cult) and had to readjust his way of thinking as well as his approach. He was basically in a sort of transition when he was killed. when he realised the nation of islam is a cult and exposed there lies and learn what is ISLAM was really about and who the PROPHET (PBUH) really is.
