Beesha Hawiye oo beesha caalamka ugu baaqday in la aqoonsado
Muqdisho, 12 April 2007 (HawiyeNews.com) - Golaha guurtiga beesha Hawiye ayaa markii ugu horeysay ku dhawaaqay sida ay raali ugu yihiin aqoonsiga in Somaliland ay noqoto Dowlad madax banaan oo lamid ah Jabuuti , Kenya iyo Ethiopian.
Golaha guurtidu waxey beesha caalamka ugu baaqeen in si deg deg ah Somaliland aqoonsi buuxa loo siiyo si loo helo cadaalad ka hirgasha geeska Afrika.
“Somaliland waxey dhameystiratay dhamaan maamulkii Dowladnimo sidaas darteed beel weynta Hawiye waxey raali ka tahay in Somaliland loo aqoonsado Dowlad madax banaan†sidaas waxaa yiri Suldaan Salaad Ducaale Kaahiye oo kamid ah hogaanka golaha guurtida Hawiye.

Re: Beesha Hawiye oo beesha caalamka ugu baaqday in la aqoonsado
I don't know about this one.
Surely it should be for all Somalis to decide. Not hawiye elders....and I doubt this is the opinion of all hawiye.
I want peace and prosperity for my relatives in Somaliland, but to break up Somalia?....I'm not too sure....
Plus, I don't know if this is a well thought out decision or just a decision out of anger with Puntland. Ok, Puntland is supporting the invasion of our land, they welcomed and danced for leaders of TFG who are waging war crimes against our people...whereas Somaliland spoke out against the massacre....but we also have to remember their president congratulated Zenawi on invading Somalia and killing our people...
Are we really doing the Somalileen a favour by supporting this? I mean, how about the Somalileen of Sool and Sanaag? And what about their relationship with Ethiopia and the CIA?...surely we can't support a regime that detains and tortures wadaado, surely we can't support a regime that is controlled from Addis.
I will have to disagree with the haweya elders on this one. Supporting Somaliland because of the situation in Xamar is being short sighted. While majority of haweyo would support the statements made by the elders, there is a significant minority who would be angered by such a statement.

Suldaankiis, all you had to say was independence or war.

qudhac-m, I'm not saying Somalilanders shouldn't decide, I'm saying let us all decide and when things get back to normal. Not when people are under occupation.
My belief is if we had a democratic and peaceful Somalia, the people of Somaliland would not be seeking independence..
Let us get a free democratic and peaceful Somalia and then let the people of Somaliland decide. We would not be doing anyone any favours by supporting the current Somaliland administration.

Ala, I must confess that these Hawiye leaders are losing focus walle. They need to be worrying about their own battles with Casho Yusuf and his cousin Tigre.

as if thier recognition matters now
during the carta government they went out of thier way to attack somaliland.
they were behind the closing of the Saudi Market and the loss of $200 million a year.
if the hawiye were in a position of power today they would attack somaliland again.
