Breaking News: New fighting hits the capital

Mogadishu 13, April.07 ( Sh.M.Network) Heavy fighting renewed in south of the Somalia capital Mogadishu between Ethiopian forces and local fighters late Friday.

Witnesses told Shabelle that the new fighting started about 7:30pm local time around former defense ministry compound where the Ethiopian soldiers are stationing.

There is no immediate human casualty on the latest clashes. Some reports say that huge flame could be seen around Shirkole neighborhood near the the Ethiopian base.

“We have seen huge blaze and we don’t know what exactly was, it looks like a house caught fire,” said one resident.

The rival sides are said to have exchanging heavy artillery weapons.

It is not clear who in fact started the fighting.
