salam, never posted a topic on snet before athough i did use to browse thru this forum once in a while over the years. so i just registered because i had some things to say to all the somali girls out there...
whatever happened to true somali girls?? ( u know the ones that had daqan (Culture), deen and Xishood) i have no idea but we seem to be a dying species on the verge of extinction.
where is the deen, where is our daqan, where is the xishood ---> Out the window
why is everything considered soo CAADI (normal) e.g dating/smoking like it's a normal way of life and it's always been part of our culture?? esp the younger generation..
if you choose to life your life the westernise way, what distinguishes you from the next white/black/watever girl? so many somali girls dress like them, act like them, do everything that they do..
and the sad fact is, this is THEIR way of life, it's not YOUR way of life...
no wonder that all the time i read brothers saying somali girls are this, somali girls are that. etc. Boys are no angles either, but tradionally it was the girls who protected their modesty. if every mali boy who asks a mali girl out got one BIG slap for a reply..they would have some xishood too.and he wouldn't dare go near another one..
