Somalis in US gather to protest fighting in Mogadishu

Mogadishu 22, April.07 ( Sh.M.Network) MINNEAPOLIS: About 100 Somali refugees gathered in Minneapolia to protest the escalating violence in their homeland.

Gandi Mohamed, 27, of Minneapolis said Saturday that he just learned that a cousin in Mogadishu was killed after a bomb hit a mosque. "It is all senseless," Mohamed said. "It must be stopped."
Minnesota has one of the largest Somali concentrations in the country with an estimated 30,000 Somali refugees.

In the past week, at least 165 civilians have been killed in Mogadishu in fighting between Islamic insurgents and Ethiopian soldiers, including at least 52 on Saturday, according to a human rights organization.

Somali troops backed by Ethiopian forces ousted the Council of Islamic Courts from Mogadishu and other parts of Somalia in December. Somalia's transitional government, formed in 2004, has struggled to extend control over the country.

I didn't exactly mean in the US. And I did not mean protest to deal with the Somali problem........that was the Palestinian problem.

We have the city on lock and I am not really biased. When we go to Karma Mall and we come to Some Hawiye debatinga bout the Somali crisis,They look at us and all of them Listen what would an MJ guy would say. People over there know I am a die hard Pro-TFG and I swear when I come to the place, they all listen and speak very politely. When something happens in Minnesota, TV news and Media are quick to contact Omar Jamal, who is an outspoken MJ. The two Minneapolis Communites are run by MJs. Senetor Coleman only listens to MJ crew that runs his office. Also the Local Newspaper, Warsan is Pro-TFG and its Run by an MJ guy. Should I go on? And I did not even mention the fact the Richest Somali Man is MJ(Reer Khalaf) and His name is ADAN DAGAX, who is currently in Villa Somalia. He owns Three Halal meat, Four Gas Stations and a lot of housing properties.. Most of business is run by MJ, uncluding five restaurents and a lot of coffee shops. Talk about MJs dominating everything
