Predictions? How will it happen? What will be the aftermath of it all?

Tough call. He had a great chance to change Ethiopia into a true pluralistic democracy and instead decided to become a two bit dictator. A shame really.
I am less concerned about when than how.

I thought so too.
But Ethiopia is very volatile and fluid, anything can happen. Especially with people still outraged over the civil rights abuses from the elections and all of that.
Add to all of these Liberation fronts and the like, you can see the cutting up of Ethiopia in the near future.
It seems similar to Somalia, not the exact same situation, but could have some of the same outcomes...

Well, his extinction will cater to US interests in that he'll not be able to reveal the back room nature of the tactics used to kill somali innocents through xabaash invasion. tactics in which the US is complicit in instigating.
MAC

Michael_Ital,
In terms of Return on Investment (ROI), I don't think there is any way the US will invest in regime change in Ethiopia......I mean what are they going to get out of it? Ethiopia's not rich.........regime changes are expensive........there's no Cold War boogeyman, there's no imminent threat of Islam taking over Ethiopia.........

After the U.S. election in '08. No more neo-cons to run to with the "Terrorism" nonesense. The dems will cut most funds for "anti-terrorism" campaigns. Watch and wait.
