A right wing maggot elected in France....and riots break out. And here in SomNet all the topics discussed are about tribal bullshit.
Not a good day at all.......
And on top of that is my disgust of what Washington is saying about Sarkozy's win...

'Washington relief at Sarkozy win'
Source: BBC News
Privately, White House officials had been praying for a Sarkozy victory for months. Publicly, they have not been this pleased and relieved by a European election result in years.
President George W Bush has already phoned to say well done and both Republicans and Democrats on Capitol Hill have welcomed his victory. But in France, Nicolas Sarkozy has been described as "Sarko the American" by his opponents.
In the US, the insult becomes a badge of honour, which the new French president has earned with his unabashed admiration of American values. He hammered home the point during a four-day book tour last September, which coincided with the anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks.

There's the legislative elections next month, so we shall see just how much Sarkozy is able to consolidate the power of the presidency, surely one of his aims is à la Bush fasicm starting in Europe all over again.

the french had enough with socialist policies=unemployment high, interest rates highest in oecd and investment the lowest, if they don't change now, their economy will be dysfunctional like old u.s.s.r. sakozy will change the old french economy and integrate france into the global economy. it is all about economics.
xamud, he is not a practicing jew but has the support of american jewish conservatives.

So what is the US's real unemployment now?
And where do you come up with such stupid analysis?
It was the French, after all, who first observed, "the more things change, the more they remain the same."

Sarkozy - the new Napoleon
Painful though it may be to admit, a Nicolas Sarkozy victory may be the best outcome for France and for Europe.
"The French economy is sick: it is the slowest-growing in the EU (bar Portugal), its record on job-creation is abysmal, and its over-weaning state smothers entrepreneurial dynamism. France's best companies have remained world-leaders only by shifting production elsewhere. Understandably, the huge numbers of French people dependent on state salaries, benefits or pensions want to preserve a system that offers so few opportunities to those excluded from it. If France continues on its current path - inward-looking, lacking confidence in its future, and seeing globalisation as a threat - it is likely to push the EU towards protectionism, and block attempts to reform EU institutions or farm policy."

Sir, lest not forget that France has substantial agricultural resources, a large industrial base, and a highly skilled workforce. A dynamic services sector that accounts for an increasingly large share of economic activity and has been responsible for nearly all job creation in recent years.
The dollar has shown dismal against the euro for sometime now...both France and Germany are benefiting from this greatly. And what does the decline in the value of the dollar against the euro mean to U.S. exports? look up brainy boy.
