Burundi: Albinos seek police protection after 3 killed

(SomaliNet) After gangs killed three albinos for their body parts, albinos in Burundi have been forced to seek police protection, reports said.

According to the BBC, four albinos were taken to a provincial town, where they were being guarded by police.

The BBC quoted local police as saying two of the albinos killed were found with limbs missing.

An investigation by the BBC in neighbouring Tanzania claimed witchdoctors were behind the killings of 26 albinos in last than a year.
