(SomaliNet) A man, police say is helping with an inquiry into a blast which killed one person and wounded scores in Kenayn capital Nairobi this month was granted bail by a Kenyan court on Friday.

Last week after they issued his picture to the media,Ahmed Hirsi Farah presented himself to police saying he had some information about the explosion.

according to news sources, the rush hour blast left a mangled corpse in the street and sent some passers-by flying through the air - reviving memories of previous bomb attacks in Kenya blamed on al-Qaeda.

The court ordered Farah to report to authorities twice a week for the next month.
It also charged the man, whose nationality was not disclosed, with giving false information to immigration authorities in 1998, and being in the country illegally.

However, Farah denied the charges. His case will be heard on July 31.

Police arrested three people in connection with the June 11 blast, but so far no one has been charged. The police have yet to determine the cause of explosion.-Nation
