(SomaliNet) At least 20 000 people have been displaced from their homes by torrential rains in western Kenya, a government official said on Thursday.
\"We have 20 000 people displaced and 6 000 others marooned,\" said Nyamboga Mounde, the region\'s district commissioner.
Several schools in the region failed to re-open on Thursday because of the flooding, local media reported.
