(SomaliNet) As part of a mediation effort by the former United Nations secretary general to end the country\'s post-election crisis, Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki on Thursday held talks with Kofi Annan.
\"They are meeting now,\" an official in the presidency said.
Annan met Kibaki a day after holding talks talks with opposition leader Raila Odinga, who claims Kibaki\'s rigged his way to re-election in the December 27 election.
Annan, who is leading a panel of African leaders, is pressing the two foes to launch dialogue and end a crisis that has left at least 780 people dead and displaced a quarter of a million. - Sapa-AFP
