Kenya: Landslides kill 10 in western Kenya-police

(SomaliNet) At least ten people in western Kenya were killed by a landslide triggered by torrential rains on Saturday, police said.

According to police, another 20 were injured in the accident that occurred in Chepkogoh village in Pokot district, about 350 kilometres north-west of the capital Nairobi.

\"The rescue operation, led by the district security committee, is currently going on,\" police spokesperson Eric Kiraithe said.-AFP
