(SomaliNet) A magnitude 5.0 earthquake shook southern Rwanda on Sunday killing at least 21 people and seriously injuring 200 others, police and the US Geological Survey said.
\"Twenty one people are so far confirmed dead in the earthquake. Two hundred have serious injuries,\" Deputy Police Chief Mary Gahonzire told Reuters.
\"Rescue efforts are underway but the number of dead could rise as so many people are trapped,\" she added.
