Sudan, Eritrean officials in a vital agreement

(SomaliNet) In an effort to overcome the difficulties caused by the Eastern Front list for constitutional positions, Eastern Sudan Front Chairman, Musa Mohamed Ahmed has begun intensive consultations with the Eritrean leadership, the mediator in the comprehensive Eastern Sudan Peace Agreement.

The tripartite leadership of the Eastern Front would soon return, Member of central committee of Eastern Front, Ali Alsafi said.

Alsafi further disclosed the intensive contacts that are underway with the chairman of the government delegation for Eastern Sudan negotiation, Dr Mustafa Osman Ismail, for mobilizing people to receive leaders of
Eastern front.

He stated that he today phoned the Chairman of Eastern Front in Eritrea and acquainted him with the consultations they have conducted internally with the tribal chiefs.

Alsafi concluded that the Eastern Front is opening offices in Eastern Sudan, Khartoum and Asmara to cope with the peace process, democratic transition and preparation for coming elections.-SUNA
