Sudan: Seasonal floods kill 15-Interior Minister

(SomaliNet) A Sudanese interior minister was quoted on Tuesday as saying seasonal floods have killed at least 15 people in Sudan and made \"thousands\" more homeless.

Sudanese local newspapers quoted Zubeir Beshir Taha as saying six children were among those swept to their deaths by overflowing Nile waters around Khartoum.

Meanwhile, more destruction was reported from the overflowing Al-Gash River in eastern Sudan as the authorities sought to help many left stranded.-Reuters
