Sudan: US embassy driver killed in gun attack

(SomaliNet) A US embassy driver was killed in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum in a gun attack which also an embassy official, the embassy said on Tuesday

\"An American was wounded and a Sudanese driver killed from gunshots,\" on Monday, an employee with the US embassy said without specifying whether the American citizen is a diplomat.

\"Unidentified gunmen opened fire on a US embassy vehicle shortly after midnight as it was driving down Road 60,\" in the central district of Al-Amrat, the employee said.

\"We do not know who opened fire nor the motivation behind the attack,\" he added.-AFP
