Sudan cancels planned visit by Dutch Defence Minister

The Sudan informed the government that it would not provide an entry visa to van Middelkoop, whose visit was to have begun on Tuesday, the Dutch Defence Ministry said.No reason for the move was given.

However, Dutch media speculated that the recent anti-Islamic film of rightist politician Geert Wilders was behind the decision.
