(SomaliNet) As part of an effort to strengthen security in Puntland\'s regions which was deteriorating lately, businessmen in Puntland regional administration have donated equipment and vehicles to Puntland police force.
A source said the ten vehicles would be used by the police for patrols, as well as, for transporting prisoners.
Meanwhile recent UN report on Somalia says that Puntland\'s security was getting out of control.
Police officers who spoke on behalf of Puntland police force, thanked the businessmen for the donation, saying that traders do feel the pain of insecurity in the region. The officers stressed that if peace was not maintained, every one would be affected.
