Myanmar: 4 injured in suspected bomb blast

(SomaliNet) A suspected bomb blast outside Yangon’s City Hall in military-ruled Myanmar on Thursday injured at least four people, an official said.

The incident occurs mid tight security to mark the one-year anniversary of the junta\'s crackdown on pro-democracy protesters.

Speaking on conditions of anonymity, a policeman at the scene said: \"It seems to have been a small bomb, but we are still carrying out investigations.\"

The officer said a man and three women were lightly injured by the morning blast, which occurred at the bus stop near the building.

Riot police poured into the area and sealed it off with yellow tape, adding to the already tight security in place around the city since late August.-Agencies
