(SomaliNet) At least nine people have been killed in an earthquake in Tibet, Chinese state media reported.
The epicentre of the quake, which measured 6.3 on the Richter scale, was in a sparsely populated area around 80 kilometres west of the Tibetan capital Lhasa.
Meanwhile, on Sunday an earthquake hit Kyrgyzstan, killing more than 70 people and injuring many others. One village has been completely destroyed. The epicentre was in the town of Sary-Tash near Chinese border.-RNW
