Suuq Madow & Illegals

Post by AbdiWahab252 »

They should leave illegal immigrants alone ! These hardworking people provide great services to the community at cut rate prices.

GM Dealership wanted $1,200 to fix my car while my Suuq madow neighbor mechanic did the job for $200.

House repainting job by painters estimated at 2,500. Suuq madow especialists $600

Long Live the Suuq Madow !

Unfortunately, Walmart prices are only part of the equation. Open borders and "free trade" have greatly reduced the purchasing power of the vast majority of Americans.

It is a situation that will only get worse before it gets any better. Any improvement will be fought tooth and nail by the corporate base and international business community, who rely on siphoning off the margin from the middle for their profits. You can only outsource to cheap foreign labor for so long. Eventually, your own consumers will have nothing to buy with, and the cycle will end traumatically.

The black market dislocates economies. Where it effectively competes with legal markets, the long-term net result is highly destructive.

abdi ..illegals waa sunta daqaalha dalka iyo dadka, anybody who says that the suuq madow help the eco. and their own eco. hasnt not felt the negative impact and someone who hasnt been affected by their stay iyo musuq maasuq ayaa dahaya hadalkas. illegal wokers take jobs from professional people who could be doing and has reached their earning limit..and those will never see a raise due to the fact that illegals will do the same job for less than half they pay..that doesnt always mean that you will get quality workers either...
the list of problems goes on....

Naaima,

Well, the Suq madow provides many jobs especially in Africa. The black market in some countries is larger than the legit market.

That is not part of the solution. It is part of the problem.

Grant,

Well if you have circumstances and government policies that are harsh to entrepreneurship and business, you drive the economy underground.

Somalia after the 1969 revolution became very restrictive to private enterprise, as the government took over many large parts of the economy and set out harmful economic practices such as price controls.

NAaima,

Would you pay taxes to a government that mismanages the money and provides limited services ?

I wouldn't. The taxes are oppressive and you get nothing in return.

I agree with you AW. i remember back in the days when we (Somalis) couldn't get a green card on our own. There was one Somali guy who got through ADOON woman. We used to share his SSN and his green Card to look for work. The funny thing was, 3 of us used to work in the swing shift with the same name and SSN, but there different companies.
