My Favorite Region Of Somalia
Awdal..Somalia's version of Colerado

Re: My Favorite Region Of Somalia
I actually always like the Jubooyinka the most
Ras Kamboni and the Bajuuni islands sound and look so exotic, white sand, cocos palms etc
Second place, is the Sanaag Mountain range

Agreed, Awdal is amazing, the city of Borama looks sick, doesn't even look like a northern place it looks like what beletweyn would look like with peace. I think Nugaal would easily be up there if they planted trees, the terrain and weather is amazing, especially towards bay of Eyl.
Ugliest region has to be Mudug & Galguduud, I hate the red sand, uffffff!!

Re: My Favorite Region Of Somalia
You are aware there is a Fault line near the region. Somalia is moving away from the rest of africa and this will result in ever increasing megnatude of earthquakes over years to come.Murax wrote:Awdal..Somalia's version of Colerado![]()

Every building will be flattened if a serious quake hits the region. Non of the buildings were designed to withstand even a minor quake. Djabuuti, awal and major parts of ogadeen will be worst effected. I suggest relocate the Awdal population to some other part of the Horn while there is still a chance.

Daawa,
Jubooyinka is nice, but too many mosquitoes man, and too humid..I'd go there for vacations/holiday but not to live.
Paidmonk,
Exactly, the place isn't the typical sort of arid Northern place. Its like Sanaag except that it is way more accessable by road. The region is connected by road to the rest of Somalia. It is basically Djibouti extended, so it is peaceful too.

Sanaag is by far the most spectacular looking region of Somalia. Some of its areas were even considered for the UN World Heritage shit or something.

True, but since the last regime did not link Sanaag, Gedo, Bay, Bakool to the rest of Somalia You're gonna be in the middle of nowhere. Sanaag is gorgeous but the thing is You're gonna be in the middle of nowhere. With Awdal, Djibouti is right there, Saudi is right there, You can make moves if shid every gets hot
^^
