He was discouraging me from going for a Master's and told me instead to go for a J.D. His reasoning was that an MPP/MPA won't have you manage anything and used the example that all of the congress people who run shyt have J.D.s and he said if you want to do policy making, you MUST get a J.D. He has a Masters in Public Health from George Washington and he was making it seem like getting that M.S didn't do much for him.
Now, that idea sounds good. But I've always thought you get a J.D. to pass the bar, practice law, and pay off your six figure debt.
So I feel I'm at a cross roads sort of to speak. Most people and lawyers tell me not to dive right into a program until a couple years after graduation which makes a lot of sense.
I know there's a couple people in here who have J.D.s... I think Lord Diplock is one
