Seriously though, if it wasn't for the Americans, Down Under would have been part of Japan now. That's why Australia was a staunch allly of the US over the years. This new idiot-in-chief is trying to muddy the waters.

The place is huge and a logistical nightmare.
Inevitable US victory , but hypothetically you will need at least 2 carrier groups to achieve air superiority.
You should expect heavy casualties and a few battles lost for the US as their armed forces are not designed for this kind of war,
while the tiny Australian military is specifically designed for this task and is highly capable.
Eventually the US will discover the correct strategy and build up enough forces and bring inevitable victory.
If you allow the Aussies a good mobile short range air defense missiles to accompany their light mechanized brigades ,
and some long range self propelled artillery, you can delay the inevitable defeat longer.
