I sometimes have difficulty defining in a clear cut fashion where Somaliness stops and all the adopted knick knacks begin. After living and interacting with non Somalis for so long most of us picked up a lot of them along the way. I fear the Somali you knew is nothing but a fleeting notion and will never be regained.
