Post by Homer Simpso »

if the Neo-Taliban forces in Somalia are wishing peace for the people- if that is true and is what they fought for, they should transfer power to the Government in Badio, if they dont do so, they are out for power and mischieveness... what do you..

That is not gonna happen now unfortunately. That was the initial plan of the Wadaado but when A/hi Yusuf and his croonies unanimously voted for foreign intrusion, the Wadaado had a change of heart and may even wage against the TNG. When they cleaned the warlords from Mog, they initiated a meeting with the TNG, sources close to them reveal that, they wanted to bargain for the Ministerial job of Justice and Religious Affairs, but the TNG side-stepped and opted for foreign forces.

Let's brace ourselves for round two of bitter game between the Wadaado and the TNG

We know wadads political position very well.
Allah's law (Sharia) is incontestably above man made rules represented by Baidoa government.
That is the principal difference. Any negotiations between these two parties would never have been successful.
The issue of bringing foreign troops is older and has nothing to do with Wadaads victory over the warlords. It is just a pretext.
They had not put preconditions to begin negotiating or hinder the normal work of the govermet.

"Let's brace ourselves for round two of bitter game between the Wadaado and the TNG"

Whatever become of the "fearful" warlords such as Dheere, Yalaxow, Qaanyare, Finish and the rest? They are seculars, and they run away to save their hides the moment they realized they were about to lose. Can a secular fight or be committed to a cause/principles as does an Islamist? Nope. The ideology of the TNG is based on secularism, it has a secular vision for Somalia and it come into existence (with the blessing of the West) because it's based on secularism.

Now, some mathematics:

For two years, since its formation, the TNG failed to confront the secular warlords militarily. It couldn't, because it was weak and was bound to fail if it staged a confrontation. In a few months, the Islamic Courts kicked the secular warlords out of Southern Somalia. The TNG can now tackle the Islamic Courts?
