Somali culture isn't fully dead yet, but the sad thing is people these days, especially Somalis seem to think in order to be more islamic you need to accept the Arab culture, because they seem to think Arab culture=Islamic culture simple because Islam originated in Arabia. I think we can still retain our culture and be muslims, and yes there are some aspects of our culture which are unislamic but those aspects aren't the majority.
It disgusts me to see people saying to Somali culture. And also where did you guys get the idea that you can only have islamic culture and not Somali culture.Its not a comprimise, you CAN have both.

Somali culture is not dead, it's on the decline. The fact that many people who were raised and born outside of Somalia can speak and write the Somali language says enough.
Somalis have a hard time differentiating between Arabic culture and Islamic practice, there's a difference.
