Dhaanto is an umbrella term for various dances with similar characterstics. Dances synonymous with the term dhaanto are mostly danced by Ogadeen thus being labelled as their dance, however there are other traditional dances that falls under this category as well, so when Sahal is saying dhaanto is danced in Hiiraan he's not lying but the dhaanto he's talking about is not the one synonymous with Ogaden, it's probably a dance that falls under the category.

For instance these two dances are from Somaliland :sland: , they fall under the category dhaanto but they are not what most people think when they hear the term dhaanto.

Hirwo (Danced in Togdheer, Maroodi Jeex & Awdal)

Calm down dear, Somalis need to do what the Japanese did accept science and leave behind their backward behaviors, you can still revive (dhanto etc) them later like the Japs did/do.

Sorry, thats Hawiye Dhaaqan.

Somalis as whole living in Somali lands should replace their culture with that of the Gulen movement, that will enable them to take their own destiny (fully) in their own hands.
