I still think this is the most accurate Ethnic map of Somalia. It is a political map that reflects the power of a certain clan over another.

That map makes no sense at all.
There's no sign of Marehan in Galguduud, no sign of Ogaden or Leelkase at all. Majerteen own all the way to Hiiraan. There's virtually no definition of Haud. It seems as though the maker of the map knows very little, referring to many clans as "Sab" I'm guessing he's talking about Rahanweyn and some other little clan.
Once again, its a pretty bad map. But looking around majerteen.blogspot.com (popular historic blog) I found a more accurate map.

This map is Horn of Africa map as you can see the map stretches to Shoa and Amhara province. You can't refute this great map of Horn of Africa with a poorly carved up map. Why is Erigabo not part of Warsangeli map. Why is Sanaag shrunk like that, which is 1/3 of British Somaliland.

I swear I never made it up. It is in this expensive book, which was written in just prior to 1960.

Like I said, its a horrible map. Even if it wasn't made up, the historian is mentally challenged.
Probably the worst map to come out yet. Nothing can explain why Majerteen own up to Hiiraan in the map. Unless however its documenting Boqor Keenadiid's land, then it might be true.

Looks like one of the best maps I have seen so far.
Paidmonk, your geography seems to reflect your age level. Majeerteen do not reach to Hiiraan in that map and their limit seems to be pretty correct with the reer Khalaf and Bicidyahan also living in the Haud.
They do not necessarily need to include the Marehan name on the Galgaduud, southern Mudug, easternmost Ogaadeenya as Marehan territory as long as it is included under "Darod".
The NFD as well as southern Somalia and Northwest Somalia seems to be accurate.
Great map.

DawladSade, don't get ahead of yourself.
This is a map of Somali gobols:
http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/africa/somalia_pol02.jpg
The map that Somali2003 gave is very close to the Hiiraan-Galguduud border.
I don't know any point in history when Majerteen lived that far south in considerable numbers.

Besides the fact that you forgot the scale down the map on the right, I don't know what else could possible be wrong with your worm-infested brain.

Dowladsade, They really match 100% that is why I reiterated how accurate the map I posted is.
The reason Warsangeli stretches into Mait the border of Isaq is their Sultanate.

Donkey brain, compare the distance of Gaalkacyo to the curvature of the Somali seven. The clan map pinpoints correctly the southern boundary of Majeerteen which exactly places it at Gaalkacyo in the administrative map. An accurate hit nowhere near Hiiraan.
I am done teaching remedial Somali geography courses for tonight. Bah bye.
