Bush sought Rice's advice about war

Post by *jr »

WASHINGTON (AP) — Alone in the Oval Office three months before the U.S. led-invasion of Iraq, President Bush asked Condoleezza Rice whether she believed war was the proper course, a new book about the close presidential adviser said.

"Yes," She answered...."we have an opportunity"

Do you think we should do this?" Rice quoted Bush as saying.

Rice told author Elisabeth Bumiller that she knew Bush meant war.

Rice appears as almost an extension of the Bush family, routinely spending weekends with Bush and his wife, Laura, at Camp David or tagging along when the first couple dined alone or with another couple. Rice doesn't care for the weather at the Bush ranch in Texas, but likes the opportunity for long walks with Laura Bush, the book said.

What a load of crap....The bUshs were determined to attack Iraq and seize the oil long before 9-11.

The author is a bUsh ass-kisser who made this pathetic statement in explanation why she never asked bUsh questions in the run-up to the war:

"I think we were very deferential because ... it's live, it's very intense, it's frightening to stand up there. Think about it, you're standing up on prime-time live TV asking the president of the United States a question when the country's about to go to war. There was a very serious, somber tone that evening, and no one wanted to get into an argument with the president at this very serious time."

If I didn't have hypertension...I have it now...

He bothered asking someone? He bothered to ask someone?

He bothered to ask before he killed One million Iraqis...

Ain't that grant!

A book that would tell us all...!
