It's haram, but most somali's still play. Of course, they're just wasting their money if you look at the mathematical odds of you ever winning. But when the jackpot is really big, sometimes I start to think my odds are just as good as anyone else. why not.

I've never played before. I know it's xaram and chances of winning are slim. But sometimes those big jackpots are tempting. I know somali's and cadaan co workers who play everyday, masakiins wasting their money.

I've never played either, but the temptations is always there it's easy fast money. A lot of my workmates play, specially when it's the Euro-draw or something really big... th most they've won is maybe 50 pounds... nothing too much.

lottery is xaram. i've seen somalis who play it though. not even younger generation. like i've this old somali man who was playing lottery one time. i was like wow didnt know awoowayaasheena inay san uilbaxeen.

once there was this indian dude who played the lottery everyday, he was a uni student and he played the same number for years. Anyway, one day, he got really sick and decited that he would stay in for this one day, he thought that one day would not make any difference, after all the number never come up all these years and what are the chances, right. Well, it turned out that the same number did show up as the winner the next day, when the guy saw it he went crazy....he was so devastated. So, he went out that day and went to the subway stn, when the train was coming he jumped in and died.
