COFFEE SHOP WARRIORS (fadhi ku dirir)
One could say everything about somalis: Skinnies, fanatics, warriors, warmongers, passive, social security takers, qaad chewers but in ones opinion Somalis are the world's best informed people. Ask any Somali what is going on around the world and he/she would tell you everything you want to know. Sometimes their knowledge is very shallow- not critical look at events.
We are the world champions of conspiracies. Simply we have a nation of politicians.
The average Somali spends most of the day listening to the BBC, watching CNN and Al Jazeera despite having a limited command of Arabic and English- Pictures (newsfeeds) are interpreted at will, dissected and analyzed fadhi ku dirir style.
Very innovative in the art of spreading news, to the somali no area is left uncovered. Medicine, politics, wars, elections. We are simply the best!
The biggest task for those interested in changing Somalia is to teach Somalis to concentrate on using " I don't know". don't you think?

Snet is taking steps in that direction, creating board indexes dedicated to virtual fadhi-kudiri. Some members here are champs by miles - I say 95% sneters are self appointed politicians!

Re: COFFEE SHOP WARRIORS (fadhi ku dirir)
whenever i go see my ayeeyo who is at my eedo's in VA, i pass by the infamous somali starbucks
these dudes act like they got nothing better to do (like going home to their women, or their kids, or w/e)
straight from work to the coffee place till about late
Now up here in Maryland they have a big panel discussion on Friday nights and they have a huge crowd of people on the last friday of the year
but all the old wives tales are interesting to say the least
