
Somali premier, Mohamed Abdulahi Mohamed Farmajo has on Sunday commenced giving payments to the former Somali national disabled army in Martini hospital in the capital Mogadishu, reports said.
Somali premier said that it was the first time that his government gave salaries to former national handicapped army who live inside Martini hospital in the capital Mogadishu.
97 of the handicapped forces received salaries in the hospital today while 200 others who were not present at the moment were planned to be given, officials said.
Each of the soldiers was given $100 dollar would continue monthly as the Somali prime minister said today speaking to the forces.
This is the first time in 20 years that Somali former national army who lost their limbs in defending the country found payments the current interim government.
Somali premier, Farmajo accompanied with his deputy prime minister and minister of defense, A/hakin Mohamud Haji Fiqi and other top army officials.
On the other hand, Mr. Farmajo called for the army and whole society to fight with what he called foreign invaders that he meant to Islamist militias of Al-shabab’s foreign allies.
